The benefits of blueberries:
Wild blueberries contain the highest amount of antioxidants of any fruit, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
What are antioxidants: "A group of substances that protect tissues, cells, and important compounds like protein and DNA against free radical damage."
Regularly consuming blueberries has been found to improve short-term memory, improve balance & coordination, and signifcantly slow the aging process! Studies have also shown that blueberries contain potential anti-cancer agents. They are also a good source of fiber and Vitamin C.
Besides all of the health benefits I think fresh blueberries are delicious!
I am excited about growing my own blueberry bushes next year!

My bushes didn't produce much this year. So I bought gallons of blueberries from a local farmers market. I ate alot of them, cooked with them, froze some of them, dried some of them. Although I really prefer them fresh, I'm determined to have (some) blueberries all year.
